Job Title:  Music Instructor – Voice, Piano, Guitar teacher in NW Calgary

Salary: $25 - $35 per hour depending on experience and education
 
Job Requirements
 

• Have a solid background in Music with a minimum RCM Grade 8 or above, Pedagogy course, Degrees in Music is desirable.
• Teach Noted Music Studio students in own home or at students’ houses. Travel fee is provided in addition to hourly rate depending on distance.
• Teach music theory in practical music lessons as part of musical development.
• Be punctual for student’s lessons.
• Clear a Police background/criminal check which the cost is reimbursed by Noted Music Studio upon completion.
• Be available to attend recitals when held twice a year and prepare students to perform in this event.
• Prepare students for recitals, competitions, masterclasses and other performance opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records of lessons taught and invoice monthly for payment.
• Communicate to Noted Music Studio about any student concerns or if there are any troublesome students/situations.
• Maintain a professional appearance and attitude when dealing with students.
• Be available to possibly lead workshops in their area of expertise run by Noted Music Studio and the teacher is paid their hourly rate.
• Be available for training sessions with Noted Music Studio from time-to-time so teaching pedagogy, methods are kept up-to-date and align with Noted Music Studio’s teaching
• An interview process with mock lesson to be taught or proof of ability on instrument is required.
